At a time when conservation figures into everyone's consciousness stitching seems an ideal passion. The resources are lingered over and used up slowly. Hours can produce only a small square of work. a meditative patience must envelope the stitcher.
My larger art pieces are done with wool retrieved form thrift shops, old kits and skeins left over from other people's projects. I love the hunting, gathering and combining process which infuses these cast off threads with new life.
